House To Vote Next Month On Decriminalizing Marijuana, MORE Act Would Expunge Records, Impose Tax

The Home plans to vote on legalizing marijuana when members return to Washington from their August recess. The measure would take away hashish from the record of Schedule I medicine strictly regulated by the states and federal authorities.

The September vote can be the primary by both home of Congress. Even when authorised by the Home, the measure is predicted to die within the Senate amid opposition from Majority Chief Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.

Home Majority Whip James Clyburn, D-S.C., confirmed the vote in a letter to members.
