Southwest jet runway Omaha, Closed for about 90 minutes.
Winter weather may have played a part in an afternoon incident at Omaha’s Eppley Airfield.
The airport officials and the airline confirm a Southwest Airlines flight arriving from las vegas Friday afternoon slid onto a runway overrun area after landing. We’re told Flight #1643 was taxiing to the terminal when the incident happen.
A spokesperson at Eppley says there are no reports of injuries.
The airport had to be closed for about 90 minutes. All flights in and out of Omaha were temporarily suspended.
There were 150 customers and six crew members onboard the aircraft. Omaha was the final destination for the flight.
