MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (KGO) —
A Google worker was hit and killed by a Google bus at an intersection subsequent to the Googleplex in Mountain View Monday evening.
A brief memorial of flowers and balloons have been positioned on the nook of Charleston Highway and Huff Avenue.
Police say a Google bus hit a girl in her 20’s round 6:45 p.m. Monday.
A Google spokesperson recognized her as Emily Hong, who labored within the finance group.
Investigators aren’t saying who was at fault however police say this space is of concern due to the excessive variety of automobiles, bicyclists and pedestrians.
“We do know that is an space of concern for residents and Googlers over there. So I feel a part of the dialog going ahead is is there a change that should occur on the market? In that case, what that could be,” stated Mountain View Police spokesperson Katie Nelson.
Police say the driving force of the Google bus cooperated with investigators on the scene, and medicines or alcohol don’t seem like an element.
Google spokesperson Gina Scigliano issued an announcement saying Hong was beloved by her colleagues and introduced an unimaginable spark to Google.
